Headache

Tension headaches are a common form of headache that can be successfully treated through physical therapy.  Tension headaches are caused by muscle tightness in the muscles of the neck that attach into the back of the skull, this tension causes pain to radiate through the head.  Common causes of tension headache include:

• Stress
• Forward head posture
• Whiplash injury
• Muscle strain

• Prolonged sitting posture including:
• Computers
  
• Driving
• Reading
• Television
